Medal for the 100th Anniversary of Lenin's Birth

This medal was awarded only during April 1970 during the celebrating of the 100th anniversary of Lenin's birth.  The medal has three variations, one for military personnel, one for economic specialists and workers, and the third one for members of foreign delegations.

They were awarded to military men who worked towards the establishment of Soviet power or in the defense of the Socialist Motherland.  The labor version was awarded to workers who made advances in technology or increased productivity.  Members of foreign delegations also received the award for working to increase Soviet power or strengthen Socialist goals.

Labor Version

Inscription: "For Heroic Labor. In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin 's Birthday"

Military Version

Inscription: "For Military Valor. In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin's Birthday"

Ribbon for the 100th Anniversary of Lenin's Birth

This ribbon was awarded with the medal, and was worn when the full medal was not authorized (such as on off-duty uniforms).

 

 

 

Labor Veteran Medal

The Labor Veteran medal was bestowed on those who had performed conscientious labor for the national economy. This could be in the field of research, culture, education, in state institutions, or achievement in public organizations for a long period of time.

All workers of retirement age were awarded this medal for their years of labor in the Soviet economy.  It was also given to military personnel who reached retirement age.

Jubilee Medal
30th Anniversary of Victory
in the Great Patriotic War

Over 40 million

This medal was bestowed on those who fought in the great patriotic war. Servicemen, civilian employees of the Armed Forces, partisans, underground fighters, and civilians who contributed to the war effort.

There are two versions of this medal. One is military and has the inscription ''Participant in the war". The other is for civilians. It reads, "Participant in the labor front."
