More photos of the
Ka-25 'Hormone' Helicopter

In this section we have placed more photos of the Ka-25 'Hormone' helicopter.  As with the photos on the previous page, they are all authentic and in the hands of the Sword of the Motherland Foundation.  Most were taken by the United States Navy, but with luck some Soviet photos will become available to us.

An approaching  Ka-25

Here we have a Ka-25 as it approaches an US Navy ship on 1 February 1985.  This picture was taken from the USS Reclaimer as the helicopter moved closer to it.

The photo is nice because it is one of the few color photos that we have been able to obtain.

The Ka-25 from below

In this picture you can see the helicopter as it flies overhead.  The photograph gives no indication of where or when it was taken.

Being Watched

In this picture we can see a Ka-25 with a US observation aircraft in the background.  Several small details on the helicopter are also visible.

This picture gives no indication where or when it was taken.

A 'Hormone' in the distance

In this picture we have a shot of a  Ka-25 in the distance as it approaches the camera.  It is not a good photo and its twin rotors are barely visible.

This photo was taken sometime in November or December in 1984.  Like many photos we obtain, it does not mention the location where it was taken.

Color view of the Ka-25 helicopter

Here we have an excellent color photo of the Ka-25.  Many color details are clearly visible in this picture.  Just below the window on the pilot's door you can see the red  'excellent aircrew' markings.  You can also see the naval flag painted on the side below the second window.  It was taken by the US Navy in March of 1984.
