Ka-25 'Hormone'
Helicopter in pictures

This section is dedicated to pictures of the Ka-25 'Hormone' helicopter.  Our pictures are all  authentic and part of the Sword of the Motherland collection.  They were taken at some time when the aircraft was in active service.  We will add more photographs as they are acquired, but until then, will do our best with what we have.

Front View of the Ka-25

This photograph of a Hormone-A in flight shows quite a bit of detail.  It was taken by the US Navy, but neither a date or location were given with the photograph.

Being Watched

In this picture you can see how small the Ka-25 really is, especially when compared to the US Navy Sea King helicopter in the background.  You can also see the dramatic differences between Soviet and US helicopter design theories here.

Ka-25 'Hormone' on Deck

Here we have a photograph of a Ka-25 helicopter resting on its pad between missions.

Smiling for the Camera

This picture shows a close up of the front of the helicopter.  One of the crewmen can even be seen waving at the camera.  This photo was taken by the US Navy.

Ka-25 in the tropics.

Here we have another picture of a KA-25 Hormone helicopter resting on its landing pad somewhere in the tropics.  This picture was taken by the USS Reclaimer some time in 1985.  No location was given in the photo description.
