The SS-X-10 'Scrag' on parade

Here is a photo of the SS-X-10 'Scrag' as it is being displayed on a trailer pulled by a MAZ prime mover after is has passed by the observer during the 1970 May Day parade in Moscow.

The photo was produced by the United Press International at the time.  They had the following caption prepared for it when it was released to other media:

"Set against the backdrop of St. Basil's Cathedral, one of the big Soviet ICBM's rolls through Red Square November 7th at the start of the annual parade celebrating the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution here.  In addition to the show of military might, this year's 53rd anniversary was marked by reports of economic well being and a Communist Party pledge that soon all Soviet homes will have TV sets, washing machines, and refrigerators."
