This section is dedicated to pictures of the 'Ivan Rogov' class / Project 1174 amphibious assault ship. We would like to point out that all of our pictures are all authentic and were taken at some time when the Ivan Rogov was in active service. We will add more photographs as they are acquired, but until then, will do our best with what we have.

The 'Ivan Rogov' at sea Here is a photo of the Ivan Rogov (pennant number 050) taken by the US Navy on 2 June 80. Several trucks, a fuel truck, and a BTR can be seen on the forward deck. Also visible are rows of some unidentified equipment and a few crewmembers on the rear helicopter deck. The ship's location was not given in the photo description, but it is most likely somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, as the ship was transferred there in 1979. |
