This section covers one of the many badges that were awarded to members of the Russian Navy. Army and Air Force badges are covered in another section. In each case we will attempt to give a full history of each badge when possible, and a general description at the very least. The selection of badges we have to view is listed below.

These badges were formally established in 1994 and are worn by officers. They replaced the earlier Soviet pattern badges in use until 1993. They fasten to the uniform by means of a screwback fastener. |

This badge was formally established in 1994. It is worn by enlisted personnel, sergeants, soldiers, and sailors. It replaced the earlier Soviet pattern badges in use until 1993. It fastens to the uniform by means of two pins. |

This badge was formally established in 1996. It is worn by the commander of a submarine. It is similar to the earlier Soviet pattern badge, but lacks the red star of that type. Like most military badges it is a screwback design. |

These badges were issued to sailors who participated in long distance missions at sea. Different badges are awarded to sailors serving on surface ships and submarines. These badges were established in 1996 and replaced the earlier Soviet types used until that time. |

These badges were established in 1995 and awarded to soldiers for excellence in physical conditioning and sports activities. They replaced the earlier 1964 pattern Soviet badges which had been worn well into 1994. Like their Soviet counterparts, they came in three classes and was worn by both soldiers, airmen, and sailors. They are screwback badges made of aluminum and colored enamel. |
