This section covers some of the many service and unit
patches that are worn by members of the Russian paratroops and air force. The selection of badges we
have to view is listed below.
Beginning in 1992 patches were made for the air force. These designs were accepted for use in 1993. |

These were the first patches instituted by the Russian Republic and replaced the Soviet patches that had been worn since 1968. They were eventually phased out in favor of newer patches. |
Paratrooper Forces |

Unit patches (worn on the right sleeve) are worn to
denote members of a specific unit. Not surprisingly there are
dozens of these patches in service. |
