Soviet Navy Uniforms |
|
The last major changes made to Soviet naval uniforms were those introduced in 1988 under Prikaz 250 of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR. Most of the uniforms were service and out of formation patterns that had little affect on actual field readiness. These would be the final pattern of Soviet Naval uniforms and would even outlast the Soviet Union itself until they were replaced by the first Russian patterns in 1994.
More uniforms will be added as they are acquired. In any case we will attempt to have detailed descriptions of each uniform along with a photograph of the uniform being worn, and an illustration of the uniform from a Soviet-era military manual. Not all of the uniforms will have all of these things at this time, simply because it is a rather lengthy task.
