Udaloy I / II Class
Guided Missile Destroyer in Pictures

This section is dedicated to pictures of the 'Udaloy' class destroyer.  Our pictures are all authentic and were taken at some time when the ship was in active service, and usually by the United States navy.  We will add more photographs as they are acquired, but until then, will do our best with what we have.

DDG-493, the destroyer 'Admiral Vinogradov'

This pair of pictures were part of a series taken by a NATO aircraft sometime during the late 1980's.  The photograph shows many of the ships antennae and sensors in great detail.  Several of the ship's weapon's systems and the whole of the helipad are visible.  The two photos do not match up precisely due to the fact that the NATO aircraft was moving when they were taken.  The pictures do not give any indication as to where they were taken.

A Large Composite View of the Admiral Spiridonov (Udaloy 499)

Here is a series of five photographs of the Udaloy 'Admiral Spiridonov'.  They are rather high contrast which limits the amount of detail that can be seen, but virtually every part of the port side can be clearly made out.  This series of pictures was taken by the US Navy in November of 1985.  No location was given in the photo description.
