'Whiskey' Class Submarine
In Pictures

This section is dedicated to pictures of the 'Whiskey' class submarine.  The pictures are all authentic and were taken at some time when the submarine was in active service.  Most of these pictures were taken by the United States Navy during the Cold War.  Hopefully some Soviet pictures will be made available soon for us to display.

The Whiskey Twin Cylinder Underway

This picture was taken by the U.S. Navy in July of 1973.  The two containers housing the SS-N-3 'Shaddock' missiles can both be seen along with many other small details.  The photograph did not state where the picture was taken.

A Whiskey attack boat

Here we have a picture of the Whiskey in its usual role, conventionally powered attack submarine.  This photo was also taken in July 1973, but no location was listed in the picture description.

The Whiskey underway

In this picture we can see a Whiskey class attack submarine as it cruises on the surface.  The picture was taken by a NATO aircraft, but no specific date or location was given with the photo.
