(1946-1959)
In this section we have several items to display.
The section will eventually cover all types of insignia given
by the Soviet Union during this period. This section is divided into four major
areas that cover the services described. It should be noted that the Army
and Air Forces of the Soviet Union were very closely related and often shared
patches and awards. The section covering the Army also includes the
VDV or paratrooper forces, while the Navy section also includes the Naval
Infantry. The paramilitary section covers agencies that did
not fall under the Ministry of Defense (such as the NKVD/KGB, MVD,
Militsia, and Border Guards).
