The PG-2 rocket is the primary ammunition for the RPG-2 anti-tank weapon.  The rocket is loaded into the weapon by inserting it into the muzzle of the launcher and rotating it clockwise until it seats properly.  This can be known by making sure that a metal knob on the rocket fits into a slot on the muzzle of the launcher.

The rocket has an 80mm shaped charge warhead, a base detonating fuze, a 40mm stabilizer shaft, and six flexible metal fins.  The propellant charge is separate from the rocket and must by fixed to the back of it by screwing it into the base.  This propellant charge is made of a moisture resistant cardboard and aluminum.

The rockets are usually issued in boxes of six rounds. Their propellant charges and fuzes are also are in this box, but are not installed in the rocket.  This must be done by the operator at a later time.   In the field, the weapon operator carries three PG-2 rockets in a large canvas carrier.  Accessories for the weapon are stored within the carrier as well.
