This section is dedicated to pictures of of the Pe-8 heavy bomber.  The pictures are all authentic and were taken at the time the aircraft was in service.  We will put descriptions with as many of the pictures as we can so that a greater understanding of the Pe-8 can be gained. As with many things on this site, we have very few pictures to show here, but more will be added as we acquire them.

 

Heading for enemy lines

This picture of a Pe-8 was taken in Summer of 1943 at the start of another Soviet air offensive.  In this photo you can see all four of the engines and some of the other distinguishing features of the aircraft.
