This section will focus on the history of the Great Patriotic War, the costs of the war in men and equipment, and close-ups on the battles fought during the war.  It should again be said that the Great Patriotic War was the largest war in history in terms of area, casualties, resources used, and devastation caused.  That means that this section will take quite some time to complete, so we would like to thank you in advance for your patience as we attempt to cover the world's largest war.
