The Bolt

Here we have a selection of photos centered on the bolt of the SVT-40 rifle.  The top right photo shows the bolt carrier and the bolt together.  While the bottom right photo is of these two parts and the two part spring  that holds both pieces in place.

The picture directly below is a close up of the bolt face of the SVT-40.

 

 

The Trigger and Magazine Release

In this section we have pictures of the trigger section and magazine well of the SVT-40.  The first two of these can be seen below.  The bottom left photo shows the trigger in the 'FIRE' position, while the bottom right photo shows it in the 'SAFE' position.  You can also see the magazine release lever in these two pictures - it is the small lever folded against the stock in these two pictures.

The bottom two pictures show the magazine and its release lever.  In both of these pictures you can see the magazine release lever folded down and away from the rifle.  In this position it is pushed forward, releaseing the magazine.

 

 

Other Close Up Views of the SVT-40

In this section can see other close up views of the SVT-40 rifle.  The top two pictures show the stock at the mid point of the rifle.  The finger groove and the vent holes can be seen in these pictures.  

The picture to the right shows a stripper clip in position as the weapon is being reloaded.  The bottom left picture shows a close up of the markings on the receiver.  The last picture shows the rear stock and buttplate of the rifle.

 

 

The Magazine and Accessories

At right you can see a picture of a variety of accessories that are used with the SVT-40.  Here you can see two magazines, the gas port tool, the magazine pouch, oil bottle, and some rounds.  Below you can see a close up of the ammunition pouch and how the magazines fit within the pouch..
