This section will cover the uniforms and field gear used by Russian military forces of the late 19th century.  It was a rapidly changing time that saw the introduction of the first shovel to be carried by each soldier, the first magazine fed rifles using smokeless powder cartridges, and numerous uniform regulations which would carry on as far as the late Soviet era.

Uniform components such as buttons, head gear, cockades, and such will be displayed here along with information about when the various changes were implemented.  As this section is under development, keep watching for updates...
